Condition & logistics
Running vs. Non-Running
We accept both running and non-running classic cars. If your vehicle hasn't seen the road in years, don't worry! We have the know-how to handle pickups and appraisals regardless of condition.
Title Issues
It's best if you have clear ownership of your classic car. If there are title issues, our team can guide you through the necessary steps to resolve them before donation.
Storage/Pickup Logistics
If your classic or collector car is parked in a garage or at a storage facility, we can coordinate pickup at your convenience. Just let us know where to find it, and we'll take care of the rest.
Title transfer & paperwork
In New York, transferring the title of your classic or collector car involves filling out the appropriate DMV forms, including the MV-902 for transfers. Make sure the title is notarized before you hand it over, and don’t forget to return your license plates if they’re still attached. Our team at Wheels for Hope is here to help you navigate this process—no need to stress over paperwork!
Tax deduction for this donation
Your donation of a classic or collector car may qualify for a tax deduction typically ranging from $500 to fair-market value, depending on the sale of the vehicle. Be sure to keep your 1098-C form, which we provide, as proof for tax purposes. We’ll work hard to ensure you receive the best possible appraisal for your donation!
